Who are Community Health Workers?

Community health workers (CHWs) bridge the gap between rural communities and access to health care. As first responders in their communities, they deliver life-saving treatment and support to villages located far from any health facility.

How can you help save lives?

The Brigade needs your support to equip CHWs with the following:

  1. Training. It only takes 500$ dollars to train and certify a community health worker in Honduras.

  2. Equipment. Our CHW’s need the proper medical equipment to treat their patients.

  3. Medicine. Our CHW’s need deworming meds, antibiotics, and Albendazoles, and other vital medications to treat preventable diseases and fatalities.

Your monthly support will save lives and enable the Brigade to create sustainable, long-term health solutions in the most vulnerable communities in Honduras.

How it works:

  1. Choose a monthly amount. If you give 42$ a month for the next year, you will provide training for a much needed CHW in a vulnerable community.

  2. Your credit or debit account will be charged every month, making an incredible impact on suffering without any additional effort from you.

  3. Your monthly gift will join you with a compassionate community of Partners for Health who are making a difference in the Honduras every day. We’ll send you our latest Newsletter, plus monthly stories to let you know how your donations are making a difference.
